The Path to Nuclear Fission: The Story of Lise Meitner and Otto Hahn deals with the life and times of two remarkable scientists - Lise Meitner and Otto Hahn. Their collaboration culminated in the discovery of nuclear fission in 1938. Lise Meitner was a shy young physics student from Vienna, and Otto Hahn was diplomatic and a chemist. They became close friends and colleagues in 1907. This film explores their lives and collaboration mixed with the scientific, social and political events of the first half of the twentieth century.
